Year 2014 – The Humble Beginning

KINGFISH SEAFOOD started off as a small fishery stall servicing the local residents at Tampines in a wet market. The stall was much like any other traditional fishery stalls in the wet market, featuring the iconic silver countertops with hanging scales, as well as a large icebox filled with fishes of different sizes and colours. It was a place where residents could find the freshest catch of the day, as they did for decades.

Our founder, Francis, had a stall which was a local favourite, especially amongst the elderly, regulars including various food hawkers and vendors. Many of whom trusted his expertise as he knew the best recipes and recommended the very best cuts of fish, most of which were the freshest catch of the day.

Year 2023 – A Small Spark of Change

Our founder saw an opportunity to expand and take a small step towards modernizing the business, which was to enter the online space and add an extra layer of convenience to old and new customers. In 2024, the founder’s daughter joined in the business after graduating from university and further streamlined the online business with the intention of carrying on the legacy of KingFish Seafood.
